So, if you could have some sort of elemental powers, what element would you want? What would you want to be able to do with it?
It doesn't have to be one of the traditional four elements, either. Is there some other theme or grouping that particularly appeals to you?
I don't know about other themes, but I would like to be a water mage. You can do all sorts of things with water magic. Breathing underwater, a fair degree of weather control, possibly some healing magic to help people retain their precious bodily fluids (or remove them if necessary), maybe a flying carpet made of extremely thick fog. Plenty more ideas where those came from, I'm sure. Gets even more useful if it includes hydrogenesis in addition to hydrokinesis.
ReplyDeleteI've always been partial to shapeshifting myself - especially if I could magically adjust my mass as well as my configuration. It wouldn't be hugely powerful, but it would be incredibly versatile. Who needs to be invisible when you can turn yourself into a puppy? Flight? Just turn yourself into a bird.
